This Privacy Policy explains in detail how Eggvy collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application (the “App”), our website (the “Site”), and related services (together, the “Services”).
We recognize that our users entrust us with sensitive financial and personal information. We are committed to ensuring that this information is processed transparently, fairly, and lawfully, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including:
Eggvy does not target users outside the United States and this Privacy Policy is limited to U.S. law. For California residents, please see our separate [California Privacy Disclosure], which supplements this Policy.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Services.
Eggvy provides a free personal finance and budgeting app that allows users to link their financial accounts securely through a third-party account verification provider (“Connector”), import and categorize their transactions, and receive budgeting insights.
Eggvy is free to users because we display ads, sponsored offers, and product recommendations, and we may earn referral or affiliate fees when you engage with these offers.
If you apply for a financial product (e.g., credit card, loan, or other service) through our App or Site, Eggvy will transmit your application data to the relevant financial partner with your consent.
We collect different categories of information depending on how you use our Services.
With your express consent, Eggvy retrieves:
Important: We do not collect or store your bank login credentials. Those are handled by the Connector.
See our Cookie Policy for details on cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies used for analytics and advertising.
Certain data we process may be treated as sensitive under state laws (e.g., financial account numbers, government-issued IDs, precise geolocation). We only use sensitive personal information where necessary to provide the Services (e.g., authentication, application processing, fraud prevention) or with your explicit consent.
Eggvy is headquartered and operates exclusively in the United States. Our Services are directed only to U.S. users. If you choose to access the Services from outside the U.S., you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed in the United States and subject solely to U.S. privacy laws. Eggvy does not rely on GDPR or other foreign transfer mechanisms
We use personal data for multiple purposes:
We may anonymize personal data for research, statistical analysis, or business insights. Such data no longer identifies you and is outside the scope of privacy laws.
Our Services use automated systems to analyze your financial transactions and provide insights. Examples include:
When you apply for third-party financial products (loans, credit cards, etc.), we may use automated checks to pre-screen eligibility based on your financial profile.
These processes may affect the recommendations you see, the order of offers presented, and in some cases whether you are shown certain financial products.
Eggvy does not directly access your bank login credentials. Instead, we work with a trusted third-party provider (“Connector”) that securely handles your authentication. Example of such providers are Chirp Digital.
We may allow ad networks and affiliates to collect device identifiers, interaction data, and engagement metrics for the purpose of serving and measuring ads.
We use analytics platforms to monitor app performance, improve features, and understand user behavior.
Each partner is contractually bound to use your data only for the specific purpose of providing services to Eggvy.
We disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
Vendors who assist with hosting, maintenance, analytics, payment processing, advertising, marketing, and customer support.
When you apply for a financial product or service through Eggvy, we share the information required by the financial partner (e.g., income data, credit-related data). This only occurs with your explicit consent.
We may share limited device identifiers and engagement signals for targeted advertising, but we do not share your transaction-level banking data for advertising purposes.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests from public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
If Eggvy undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the new owner. You will be notified of any material changes.
We may share your data with other third parties if you explicitly consent to such sharing.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Subscriber text messaging originator opt-in data and consent details will not be shared with any third parties.
We keep personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
If you request deletion of your personal information, we will remove it from active systems and, where possible, from backups within a reasonable time frame (typically 30–90 days).
We may retain aggregated or de-identified data indefinitely for analytics and research purposes.
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Eggvy has implemented appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration of personal information.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Eggvy’s Services are intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect or process information from anyone under 18.
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 years of age. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will promptly delete it.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing.
For California residents, please use the California Privacy Disclosure and opt-out links. For other state requests, contact [email protected] or use in-app controls.
